The Arc of Multnomah-Clackamas advocates for, supports and serves children and adults with developmental disabilities and their families.
Serving both Multnomah and Clackamas Counties, The Arc offers a wide variety of community programs for individuals and families, all designed to help children and adults with developmental disabilities achieve their greatest potential.

- The Arc Recreation Club

The Arc Recreation Club is a social recreation club for adults aged 18 & older with developmental disabilities. The club provides fun and engaging community outings in the Portland area several times per month. Through its activities, the Recreation Club strives to promote self-confidence, positive relationships, and a sense of belonging among its members. And, oh yeah we also just have a whole lot of fun!
- Skills Training & Community Inclusion

Skill trainers help young adults develop the day-to-day life skills they need to live independently in the community, to be successful in their jobs and to develop a fulfilling personal and social life. We help clients exercise good judgment to make the best choices for their situation.
- Adult Case Coordination

The Arc of Multnomah County’s Adult Case Coordination program provides adults with developmental disabilities ongoing assistance with life management skills in the following areas:
*Arranging and managing community services
*Receiving financial entitlement programs based on disability
*Managing individual income and budget
*Assistance and referral to meet residential/housing needs
*Assistance and referral to meet vocational needs
*Assistance and referral to meet health and mental health needs
*Assistance and referral for socialization and self-advocacy needs
*Legal assistance and referral
*General counseling and referral - Family Case Coordination

The Arc of Multnomah County’s Family Case Coordination program provides families ongoing assistance with life management skills in the following areas:
*Finding and applying for housing, including subsidized housing programs
*Advocating in child custody processes
*Accessing entitlements such as SSI, TANF, Oregon Health *Plan and food stamps
*Participating in school (IEP) meetings
*Attending medical appointments
*Completing paperwork
*Providing information and making referrals to other agencies
*Providing limited financial assistance - Guardianship, Advocacy & Planning Services

Providing advocacy, guardianship and healthcare representative services to individuals in need. Volunteers make up a GAPS Board and team, which serves adults in crisis or without family support who need guardianship.
GAPS utilizes a team approach to provide individualized personal advocacy to people who have been identified by the GAPS Board as needing representation and support, including periodic visits and personal advocacy for needed services, training and care. The GAPS staff provides training and ongoing support to the volunteers providing this important personal and community service. - Recreational Respite Project

Respite care is short term relief care allowing primary caregivers a break from the ongoing demands of caring for one or more individuals with developmental disabilities.
The Arc of Multnomah-Clackamas is currently rebuilding its respite program to achieve the following goals:
