I have been a social worker for over 20 years. It has been my passion and calling to assist others, helping them achieve their personal goals and appreciate the unique qualities and capabilities that each individual provides to their family, friends and community.
My experience includes: job coaching and development, comprehensive case management support for individuals with major mental illness, living skills training individuals with developmental disabilities, head injuries, learning disabilities, autism and mental retardation. I have also facilitated a variety of groups and believe knowledge is power.
My goal as an Independent Contractor is to help the individual and their support system "Grow, Dream and Inspire". I am available to provide: short-term and long-term job development and coaching, community living skills assessments and training, community living daily supports, behavioral consultation for individuals and their families, community inclusion supports (with specific goals directed at creating natural support systems) as well as respite services.
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology and have attended graduate level courses in Social Work and Occupational Therapy. I have continued to attend trainings, have an extensive personal library that helps support, and educate me on current methods, and strategies to assist others.
