October "Cool Find"
We are sorry for missing the September "Cool Find" for our site. Disability Compass is coordinated with a small budget for a small staff and one of us has been on unexpected medical leave which really puts a wrench in things.
This Month's "Cool Find" is a collection of newsletters that can be useful tools for parents, teachers, direct support providers, and self advocates. All are centered around positive behavior support strategies, inclusive living and education, and building on strengths of people with disabilities and those who support them.
Compass is pleased to be the new home for electronic issues of the newsletter, Disability Solutions. Published from 1995 to 2005, this publication reached more than 10,000 individuals by mail and countless more over the Internet. Each issue hones in on specific areas with information from leaders in the field who provide easy-to-understand, practical solutions for families and support providers.
