Spanish Retreat weekend for Catholic families with children with disabilities

The Archdiocese of Portland’s Office for People with Disabilities is sponsoring two weekend retreats for Catholic families with children with disabilities. The first weekend in English is scheduled for August 27 -29, and a weekend in Spanish is scheduled for September 3 – 5. The Spanish retreat is co-sponsored by the Archdiocesan Office of Hispanic Ministry. The retreats will be held at the Aldersgate Conference Center in Turner, OR, just outside of Salem.

        The retreat brings together families with children with disabilities of all ages. The retreats offer an opportunity for families to come together, to have fun as a family, to share faith and to build a community of support. Every effort is made to accommodate the needs of all who come and to enable the participation of every family member.

        Grant funds have helped to reduce the cost per family and for some scholarships to make it possible for families to attend. For registration information call or email the Office for People with Disabilities.
