A comprehensive introduction to the practical realities of meeting support needs of individuals with developmental disabilities prone to exhibiting sexually inappropriate or risky behaviors. Support strategies differentiate between behavior resulting from a lack of knowledge from behavior arising from psychological disorders. This class will present a community based treatment model based on containment, supervision, changing arousal and behavior, and behavior management. This class is HIGHLY recommended for work with sexual offenders or with such risk behaviors in any DD setting.
