Do you live with or work with someone who hits, scratches, bites, pinches herself/himself? Have you tried everything you know of with less than spectacular results?
Self-injurious behavior is a tough nut to crack. We are only now beginning to understand the “whys” and “whats” of this complex and sometimes terrifying behavior.
This 5 hour presentation will summarize current research into the causes of self-injurious behavior, the various treatment methods of the past, and new, innovative and integrated approaches. Participants will be presented with ideas for assessment, innovative program development and tracking of self-injurious behavior.
